About Soy Wax
All of our Soy Candles are made from the oil of GMO free, vegan and kosher certified, food grade soya beans.

Soy wax is simply a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After being harvested, the soy beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled and rolled into flakes. The oils are then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The hydrogenated process converts some fatty acids in the oil from unsaturated to saturated. This process dramatically alters the melting point of the oil making it a solid at room temperature. Left over bean husks are commonly used for animal feed. |

Tips for burning a Soy Candle
- Never burn your candle more than 3-4 hours at a time. It will fatigue the glassware and your candle might break! Always set your candles on protected, heat-resistant surfaces. Soy wax cleans up easily with soap and water, but remember; it’s still a wax and should not be poured down the drain. (Guess how we know that!!)
- Make sure when you blow out your tealights that the wick doesn’t move from the middle of the container. Wicks that are off centered can melt the plastic tea light cup. If you get a tea light that is already off centered, we will replace it. ALWAYS place your tea lights in or on a heat-resistant container.
- Soy wax does not burn as hot as paraffin wax, so soy wax candles require a thicker wick, which does not combust 100%. Wick mushrooming is normal for natural cotton or paper wicks. Trim off a mushroomed wick when ever needed. Although soy in and of itself is nearly soot free, all natural cotton wicks will smoke if they were not burned properly, or if the wick was not trimmed when needed.
- When you burn your soy candle, it’s important to remember that it has a memory. Please make certain your soy candle burns long enough for the wax to be fully melted across the width of the candle. A full melt pool, especially your first burn, will ensure an even burn in subsequent burns and avoid “tunnelling” allowing your soy candle to get a full melt pool thus increasing the scent throw of your candle. A correct burn releases the most fragrance.
- Trim wick 1/4″ before each use, and never move until flame is out and wax is completely solid. Be sure not to over trim the wick. Although we use heat safe glass, an improperly trimmed wick can create high flame and high temperature forming deep melt pool and fatigue the glass.
- keep wax free of wick trimmings, matches and other debris.
- Avoid drafts and vibrations and keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Never burn your candle on or near anything flammable.
- Burn your candle within sight and extinguish with care.
- Container will be hot when candle is lit.
- Do not burn if wax level is below 1/4”.
- Never use container lid to put out flame.
