Our Darkhorse Farms Natural Soap is 100% Natural, free of chemicals, preservatives, harsh detergents, colorants, and genetically modified oils. After first introducing the natural soap in 2008 we have listened to our customers and what has formed is a wonderful natural soap, using Pure Essential Oils for Scent and Australian clays or natural root powder for color. Darkhorse Farms Natural Soap doesn’t cut any corners in manufacturing the best handmade natural soap available using the finest ingredients and pure natural products for those even with sensitive skin.
All of our soap is formulated with a base of three oils we truly believe in. Olive, Sunflower and Coconut oil along with Beeswax and Kaolin Clay.
Olive oil is a monounsaturated fatty acid that contains linolenic, alpha-linolenic, and oleic acid. This helps the body manufacture prostaglandins which moisten the skin and make it smoother and more firm. Olive oil contains antioxidants which fight cell degeneration. Hydroxytyrosol is a very powerful antioxidant found only in olive oil.
Coconut oil is an excellent ingredient for making the high quality soap by bringing its own unique qualities; it is naturally rich in Lauric Acid, which protects your skin from micro-organisms. This naturally occurring defence is carried on in the soap. Coconut oil is pure, free of impurities and creates a wonderful lather. Coconut oil is one of my favourite oils and it is also found in many of our massage and skin care products including our Beeswax Lip Balm, Fired Up Massage Products as well as a great all around lotion suitable even for all skin types, the Mothers Lotion, which is basically a whipped Coconut Lotion, a customer favourite.
Sunflower oil is the moisturizing oil of choice in soap recipes. Being high in linoleic fatty acid it makes a gentle skin softening soap. It is rich in vitamins A, D, and especially in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. Sunflower oil has a light texture and is easily absorbed by skin.

Anise Chai This soap provides the sweet aroma of Anise and Chai. Anise has antiseptic properties, while Chai is rich in antioxidants that help fight skin damage and prevent aging.
